Jaymis grinned widely at her. Nobody knew what they were missing. That was very true for sure. And 'ours'. That sounded real nice to him. With Fara it was all "me, me, me, and me" never us or ours. The only time he was involved was when there was a problem and then that problem was all his fault. She didn't understand how different that was for him. He looked to the table with a chuckle. "I'm a unique type but I am not unique enough to willingly test breaking a pinky promise." He assured her still. He wasn't going to test his water that far even in a joke. He wanted to look smart and he would do whatever it took to do so. And he saw her blush. He was good at that, making girls blush. But this time he hadn't even been trying. Sometimes he tried to but this time he hadn't been. It just happened.
"I can tell you to hush. Doesn't mean you have to listen." Jaymis stuck his tongue out toward her. If he had one thing it was a sense of humor and an ability not to take life too seriously. her fake pout made him chuckle and give a copying pout in return, his head tilted slightly. "Did I offend you?" He gave a pouting whine, but it didn't last. He was palyful, but his offer to buy her a phone was completely serious. Completely real. "Oh of course I don't have to. I don't have to do anything for you at all. Remember that." He smirked teasingly He was going to do it anyways, he'd take her to go pick one out some day he was sure. Today though it was about food and having some fun together. The idea of having free reign to contact her was an interesting one. "Be careful now. Leave that invitation too open and you might never get a break from me." He warned her.
Of course she didn't know what he meant. Either she didn't know about the different district codes on numbers, which he could definitely believe as it wasn't like most district people ever had to call anyone outside their district. Even the Capitol didn't. He only knew through his technology studies. But even if she did, why would she admit what that number meant? He looked to meet her gaze, trying to read how she was feeling about it. That had been her number for a long time, of course, everyone got one and they didn't get to change it. She seemed not to get why he would think she made a mistake. It assured him that she didn't know and that made him feel even worse about it. What could he do? Legally he should be turning her in... sending her home. District people were not supposed to be wandering the Capitol. She wasn't a victor. Though she wasn't a tribute either, he didn't recognize her from the reaping. How had she even gotten here? He frowned slightly, but was silent for what might have been an eerily long time. The young man looked down, switching between a couple of screens on his phone.
"This is very far from home for you, Miss Beryl." Jaymis looked up to meet her gaze carefully. He could see her frozen fear, though what of he couldn't exactly point out. Was it of him and trouble, of the same things that scared him? This new information meant two things. She lived a bit far away for random lunch dates. And there were secrets to her that he didn't yet know. The first was a saddening thought. He couldn't just invite her out if she was from a district. He couldn't just take her to lunch or go show up at her house. It wouldn't be so easy. The second was of great intrigue. Jaymis wasn't a simple man. He didn't like simple. The mystery of her only served to keep his gaze on her and keep him from doing a thing about what he found out. He wanted to know. He wanted to search the details and find out everything he could about this mystery girl.
But her face said she didn't see it that way. There were tears fighting to come out. The young man took a breath. "Upset with you? Because you lied to me? Because you're not from here?" Jaymis chuckled a bit and reached across the table, gently setting a hand on her cheek. "I think you're just about the most interesting person in this city right now." words// 768 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

"Of course you offended me. Here I thought you were enjoying talking to me and hanging out with me." Tinsley gave a rather dramatic sigh as she looked away. "But I guess you don't enjoy it as much as I thought. So I guess we won't be doing this again..." she continued. She kept her gaze away from him for a moment before she finally gave a bit of a sideways glance, not trying to stop her lip from curling into a bit of a smirk at that. Of course she was still just playing with him. No way was she giving up he chance to hangout with someone so amazing again in the future. "Don't worry. I'll just ignore that." she said, winking at him before turning to face him again. "And...I know you don't have to, but there is a difference between buying a complete stranger lunch and buying them a brand new phone." she commented, shrugging before laughing a bit. "And keep in mind that I still said not to do it obsessively or I am going to be the one telling you to hush." she pointed out.
She watched him carefully as he spoke, this time using her last name. She was curious if he actually recognized it though. Tinsley wasn't well known in the Capitol, she had been very careful of that, but she was no stranger to the city either. She had been on more than one occasion, including getting to wander alone a bit a time or two. She was allowed in the Capitol more than a normal district person was at least. "Does that name sound familiar to you?" she asked curiously, not sure what else to say about it. "And really it isn't far from home. District one is not that far from here. It doesn't take long at all by train." she mumbled, picking at the slice of pizza in front of her without actually eating any of it. She had completely lost her appetite, at least for now anyway. "What other information did you find out?" she asked, figuring that was what he had managed to do, not that there was much there anyway.
His words scared her at first and she was ready to just get up and run out. She hadn't technically lied to him though. She never mentioned anything about where she had been from. She lied a little about what she had been doing in the tribute apartments, but that wasn't even being brought up right now. She gave a tiny nod, about to just apologize and get up to leave when he reached and set his hand on her cheek. A few of the tears managed to escape her eyes. "What?" she asked, staring at him. "You...you aren't mad at me?" she asked, sniffling a bit. She looked away from him though, shaking her head. "I am not that interesting. I am not." she whispered. She felt like she was just a big mess and nothing more. Her whole life was a big mess. He wouldn't enjoy her story once he actually found out.

Jaymis pouted at the idea of not doing this again. He was having far too much fun to willingly give this up. If he had truly offended her he would be apologizing for it and trying to get on her good side again. Since the joking tone remained he didn't drop into begging. Instead he stuck his tongue out and looked away. "It wouldn't really be buying you know. It would just be handing it to you. But sure if you want to do without then that's your choice." He smirked toward her and winked a bit. He still probably would send her something. Once he found out where she lived anyways. She couldn't escape that now that he had her number.
His blue gaze stayed steady on her for a moment, taking a few seconds to place the name. He studied the Games as a hobby, but victor last names were not top priority on his list. He looked down for a moment and shrugged. "Somewhat familiar. You're related to a victor. Should that mean something?" He asked, looking back up curiously. He wasn't the type to oooh and awww over the victors like they were some major heroes. The Games themselves were interesting. The technology to make them was interesting. The victors? He wouldn't stand in line for a signature or anything. It was curious though as she defended the lack of physical distance between here and her district. The young man laughed a bit and rolled his eyes some. "You've done it often?" He asked, curious for her answer really. She had known enough about the Capitol not to tip him off too early. She must have been here before.
"Not much. You're cousin to a victor, you come from District One, I know your full name and your address. Other than that, your record is spotless. Impressive really." Jaymis commented. He wouldn't lie about what he found, or the lack of what was found. There was no need. Though he was worried now, as her mood seemed to have turned sour now. Part of him wished he hadn't figured it out, but he would have eventually. She had to know that.
The young man hadn't been quite sure where he was going when he had started talking. His heart wanted to hold her and never let her go back there but every legal sense in him said otherwise. Were there even laws about relations with people from District One? Surely it couldn't be as bad as it would be if she was from Twelve. He was quiet though and kept her gaze, rubbing his thumb across her cheek as the tear fell. He didn't immediately speak, didn't know exactly what he would say. He found something interesting and outside the normal, and that he wasn't letting go. "Mad at you? You made my day. This has been the best lunch date I've had in... forever. How could I be mad at that? Without you I'd be sitting at home alone or talking to drunk Gamemakers." He admitted, and that hardly sounded like fun. Especially compared to this.
"What do you mean you aren't interesting? Your pretty, you're smart, you're not from around here but you're darn good at acting like it. You let me have fun today." He assured her and reached to make her look back at him. "And don't you think about heading for that door. At least let me take you back to where you're staying if you want to leave." He nearly begged, wide eyed. He wanted to at least do that for her. words// 603 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

"I wouldn't feel right having you just hand me such an awesome phone...I really wouldn't. But thank you." Tinsley said quietly, shrugging a bit. She didn't know exactly what is wink meant, but she really didn't want him to get her anything. She didn't want to be that type of person. She also wasn't meaning that it should be familiar because she felt she was special or anything. "It means that I am no stranger to the Capitol and I have a bit more free range than the average district person." she said quietly, shrugging a bit. That was all that she head meant by it, that she had been before and had a reason for it. "So yes. I have come here quite a bit over the years. I haven't done a ton and I am not one who likes to be in the spotlight so I did my best to stay out of it, but yes I have been around more than once." she told him with a bit of a sigh.
Her written record was spotless, yes, but her history was not. He didn't need to know that right now though. She would just let him be impressed about it for not. Really it was impressive because she had done things that hadn't shown up. "Is it so hard to believe that I am such a good girl?" she asked a bit innocently, tilting her head to the side slightly. She felt miserable though and she just wanted to be able to disappear. She did know that eventually he would figure it out, but she was hoping...she wasn't sure what she was hoping for. Maybe just a little bit more time to prepare or to be able to tell him herself. Either way it didn't really matter now because he knew.
She looked down, tears just falling down her cheeks. This whole thing had been far too good to be true and she really didn't want to let any of it end. She wanted to stay with him. She didn't want to go back home or even back to the apartments. She just wanted to be here with him feeling as amazing as she had been with him the whole time. It seemed he at least enjoyed her company too. "Really? I made your day?" she asked, looking up, taking a breath that sort of got caught with a bit of a sob and a sniffle that made her cough a bit. "I...you made my day too. I was not having a good morning." she admitted. Not a good morning or good past few days or good week really. She had needed this and she had loved every moment. She didn't want to give this up.
"I...you're sweet...so sweet and wonderful and amazing. You let me have fun today too. Who knew that a complete stranger would be the one to make me feel a million times better than I did?" Tinsley asked, meeting his gaze with hers when he made her look toward him. She started crying a bit harder again though, shaking her head at him. "No. I don't want to go back there. I don't have anywhere to stay really and I really don't want to go home. Please don't make me go home." She broke down without even meaning too. It wasn't even like he was forcing her to. The thought of it just freaked her out.

"I wasn't really asking." Jaymis admitted and gave a bit of a wink again, though looked away from her at that. He would still do it. Even knowing she was a district person. He wasn't the hateful type and she was from a rich district. It would make sense that she might have something nice. He shrugged slightly to her at her explanation. He wasn't bugged that she might be related to a victor. Or that she might feel entitled or special for it. Look at him, he was about the most ego filled there could be anymore. He gave a bit of a nod as she continued though and leaned back in his seat, putting his phone back into bis pocket.
The young man nodded. "I see. Well you successfully avoided it since I didn't recognize you at all when we met. So whatever you did, keep doing it." Jaymis laughed slightly at that. He wasn't upset or disturbed at all. In fact he was amused that she had managed it. Escaping the media and public in the Capitol was an admirable feat. "It definitely helped you fool me. So congratulations on that. So how much do you know? I don't want to treat you like clueless when I show you more of the place." Jaymis commented to her. He really didn't want to make her feel dumb when she knew something about the town already. But you young man laughed and looked down to his own pizza, taking a couple of bites of his despite her avoidance. "Oh no. I don't believe for a second that you are that clear. I'm sure there's some mystery still to uncover. You're far too interesting to just be perfect and average." He assured her. He didn't know what might be there, but he knew their must be something.
It was the tears that tugged at him. That kept him wanting to just scoop her up into a hug and never let her go. This young woman had made his day, and she didn't even believe she had. He wanted to find a way to tell her it was true but his mind was failing him in that. "You made my day. Tinsley. We had fun. Nothing of what we did today could I have done with anyone else I know. Dear, you did more than make my day and please... please don't cry." He shook his head some at the tears and reached trying to wipe off her face of tears. He wanted to help her not cry but it was just hard to do. he didn't know what exactly had her crying. If it was a good thing. A bad thing. He couldn't tell. people were so emotional sometimes. So he just gave a small smile and stood up. "Then we did good things here. For each other." He said and watched her carefully.
He would continue to reassure her too. There was something about her that he just couldn't shake. He let go of her face and let his hand drop, watching her carefully as he listened. He gave his sparkling little smile and moved around the table, shaking his head. "Nobody knew. That's what makes this here that special Tinsley. That's what makes us unique. This wouldn't have worked if either of us were different than we are." He came over toward her and sat himself down in the seat next to her, looking over and reaching to try and clean up her face a little more.
"I don't even know where there is." He admitted, his voice quiet. But he watched her and he could see it in her face. The way she broke. There wasn't a single part of him that wanted to send her anywhere she didn't want to be. Her crying and her upset just broke his heart and the young man pulled her into a close hug. He set his head against hers and took a breath. "Relax darling. I won't make you go home." He whispered and thought for a second. "Come home with me. At least for the night. We will figure out something." He assured her. There was no way he was going to break her heart and send her back. words// 712 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

Tinsley sighed softly, but he seemed like he wasn't going to let it go. She would instead and just let him do whatever. It wasn't like she hadn't tried to get him to get her one. At least she had managed to blend in better than she thought she would have. "I will keep it up. Glad I got to put it to the test and actually managed to succeed for a while." she mumbled, shrugging a bit before continuing. "I honestly don't know that much. I haven't been to this place before or any place like this. I didn't even know the Capitol had these." she said honestly. "I've always gone to the boring fancy places and to the crazy parties." she added. They weren't much fun when you were stuck with your cousin and just trying to stay away from everyone. Parties filed with victors and important people were never that much fun.
She simply smirked at his comment about her record though. "Guess you'll just have to wait and see. Who knows what could come out after we get to know each other a little better." She wasn't going to just lay it all out on the table for him and for all he knew she could just be playing right now. He would find out. He had a way of finding things out it seems. But for now it didn't really matter and she didn't feel much like talking about any of it.
He was telling her not to cry, but it only seemed to draw out more tears as he did. She wasn't even sure why she was crying at this point either. She had been afraid that he would hate her at first, but here he was telling her how amazing the day had been and how she had done more for him than anyone here. She felt the same. He had done more for her than anyone back home. She had never had such a good time before. She had never felt so appreciated and loved and she had only just met him. That had to mean something right? It had to mean that they were special? She simply gave a nod in agreement, struggling to speak through the sobs.
His words were so sweet and comforting, he even moved around the table to be closer to her. She gave a slight laugh between the crying, shaking her head slightly. "We are pretty unique...I mean...how many people have this much fun on a lunch date with someone they haven't even known for twenty four hours?" she asked. Her guess was very, very few people. She had gotten lucky. He had gotten lucky. There was something about him...the way she felt with him. It was like they were meant to be together. Like he was the piece that she had been missing for so long to make her feel whole and happy and....perfect.
Tinsley buried herself into him when she was hugged, holding onto him tightly. How could one guy be so sweet? No guy, not even Ves, had ever held her like this. Ever spoke to her in such a soft and caring way. He actually cared about her. "What? Go home with you?" she asked, double checking if she heard him right. She looked up, though kept close and still held onto him. "I can really come stay with you?" she asked quietly, almost afraid that it was some sort of trick. "I....I would love that. I would love that so, so much." She sort of gave a squeak, more tears starting down her cheeks again. This time they were at least happy tears.
She buried herself against him again for a moment before looking up again. "I feel weird sitting in a restaurant crying...and I am not that hungry. What are the chances we can pack up the food and leave now?" she asked quietly. "If that is fine with you of course." she added.

"Yes. Keep it up. Though not with me. You don't need to act with me." Jaymis assured her with a slight smile toward her. He didn't want secrets or acting. She was sweet when she was being honest. Or at least what he thought was honest. "I will figure out your secrets. I will. I'm good at that stuff you know." Though there really was very little that he would ever admit to not being good at. He had a full ego. But figuring out people's darker secrets had been a learned skill. His father had taught him a couple of good things, his observant and determined nature being one of those things. He had his ways of getting to things too. "You really, really, need to keep coming. Because this place has soooo much more than the fancy stuff. And more than this. We have zoos, a theme park, shows of all sorts. And there are some fun sights just of the local partiers." The young man laughed and shook his head a bit. He could show her everything and anything she might want to see. And he would too.
Jaymis frowned slightly at her increased tears but he didn't give up. He wasn't going to give up on trying to comfort her. He gave a slight shake of his head and set his hands on her cheeks again. "Tins, nobody else gets this lucky. Nobody else." He assured her, watching carefully. He hadn't had a day like this even with people he knew for a long time, let alone a stranger. It was just chance. A meant to be. Which Jaymis didn't normally believe in but what else could explain the instant connection between them? Or the fact that he left his food to come and try to comfort her like he did. That said something at least.
"Yeah. Go home with me. You don't want to go back where you are staying or your district so... that's the next option. There's no way I'm leaving a pretty girl like you, crying on the streets. It's just not going to happen." Jaymis tried to look her in the eyes. His own held a real sincerity. There were no tricks or lies here. He honestly just wanted to help the poor girl out. She had made his day, letting her come to his home would be nothing. It wasn't like he was short on space. "Yes. Yes I honestly mean it. It would be my pleasure to have you around. It really would be." And he would repeat it as many times as she needed to so that she would believe him. He didn't care how much.
Jaymis surely wasn't portrayed as the nice and cuddly type but as she buried herself into him he kept his arms around her in a hopefully comforting hug. Reputations and reality didn't have to match up entirely. In this case it was better for them both. "I would love the company. The big house I got actually tends to get really lonely and empty feeling. I'm sure I won't be in a rush to get you out." He probably wouldn't. And the squeak made him start to smile again and shake his head with amusement. There wasn't much more that showed how happy someone could be than those kinds of noises.
"That's fine. I'm sure they'll let me take it to go." Jaymis shrugged like it was nothing and waved over their waiter. "Can we get the food all boxed up. I got an emergency call and I will have to eat at the office." He explained, looking at his phone screen for emphasis. The man gave a nod and hurried off to get that done for him. Jaymis looked back to Tinsley with a bit of a smile "That one was easy." words// 642 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes// Unlike Cori he's not strong enough to carry a person home by the way

Tinsley smiled and gave a bit of a nod. "Okay...Well now that I know I can trust you for sure then I don't have to keep up the act for you. Just everyone else." she said, shrugging. It still sounded exhausting and miserable, but at least now she had someone she could be truthful too. There was a difference between lying and hiding things though and there were just some things that were meant to stay hidden. She smirked a bit. "Guess we will have to see just how good you are." she commented with a simple shrug before looking down again. He was bound to find out eventually, or maybe some things he wouldn't, but maybe, just maybe he was willing to look past them and still like her for who she was. She just wasn't going to sit here and spill them all to him right off. "You really are making a good case for this place, you know? I was pretty sold on coming back here just to see you and come to this restaurant. You're just adding all sorts of extra bonuses." she said, completely honestly.
She listened to him as she tried to calm herself down a bit. He was right. No one else ever got this lucky, at least not many people, and certainly not Tinsley. He was so sweet and caring and perfect and there was nothing more that she wanted than to stay with him forever. Here he was, assuring her that it was perfectly fine that she come stay with him. That he really wanted her to. She couldn't argue with the sincere look in his eyes either. She gave a small nod and hugged him tightly, closing her eyes for a moment. "Thank you, thank you." she said softly. "I won't be a burden at all, I promise. If I am you can kick me right out." she assured him, but at least a smile had taken over. She reached up and wiped away the tears from earlier.
She nodded a bit when he stated they could get the food to go and then asked the waiter to pack up their food. She smiled a bit. "Thank you." she said quietly to him before returning her attention to Jaymis. "You're so sweet and wonderful and perfect. I could just kiss you." she said, watching him for a moment before she reached around him to grab her napkin to wipe her face off a bit better. She had been feeling so miserable, but even after all the crying she had just done she felt better than she had in ages. She set the napkin down once she felt she was presentable enough to walk outside. "I am sorry if I ruined lunch, but I just...I'd rather go eat at the house." she said quietly, laying her head against his shoulder again for a moment. There was just something about being so close to him that was wonderful and comforting. She just wanted to be in his arms forever.
The waiter returned and got all the food boxed up for them in the most efficient and convenient way possible, putting the boxes neatly into a bag to make it easier to carry. "There you are. Have a nice day." he said kindly. Tinsley smiled and nodded. "You too." she said softly, making the man give a nice smile before leaving the table. Tinsley sat up properly and stood up, adjusting her dress as well. "Lead me to your place?" she asked with a bit of a grin.

Jaymis grinned to how she agreed. He knew he could be trusted. He had no intention of ever betraying her. Her secrets were all safe with him. Although a talker, he wasn't the type to just spill anyone's secrets to the world for the fun of it. And somebody like this, who had made him so happy. With such a big smile on his face, he wasn't going to betray her for anything. Eventually he would prove that, and eventually he would discover her hidden secrets. He could tell there was something. Or she was the best actress he had ever seen and she was just playing it up. Either way he would figure it out some day. He was confident that he would figure it out on his own. He grinned to her and nodded to her. "Oh I know. It must occur to you that I might purposefully sell the place. Anything to convince you to come have fun." He smirked, just as honest. He wanted to sell his home as a good place to be. He wanted her to keep visiting.
He was absolutely sincere with his invitation. There was something to the sad look in her eyes that made him want to bring her to the safety of his large home. Jaymis wanted her to feel wanted and to feel like she belonged. And he sure didn't want to watch her leave crying to go to some uncertainty. Jaymis just wasn't that type. "You won't be a burden, I'm sure of it Tinsley. But I will let you know, okay. I promise if something is wrong, you'll know." That was also very true. Jaymis was not the type to hide or sugar coat things. If someone was in his house, he would definitely tell them if they started to annoy him or make him want to ask them to leave. He wouldn't hesitate to speak his mind in his own house, that was for sure. "But I'm honestly not that concerned if tonight is any hint of your normal." He added with a shrug.
"You could?" Jaymis tried not to smile too much, as he didn't quite want to hint that he was that happy about her statement. He didn't want to seem that desperate. He reached his hands, setting one gently on her cheek and wiping a tear away with his thumb. "You don't have to-" He started, but instead of finishing he leaned forward, giving her a sweet kiss on the lips. An instinctive action that he was sure he would never regret. Even if Fara had walked into the room right then, at least he would be caught in the act of following his heart. What he felt in the moment, right there. Something that meant so much more than his rehearsed shows of affection toward Fara. Even after he released her lips, Jaymis lingered close for a moment. He wanted someone he could hold, who he could kiss without warning, who looked at him in the same way he looked at her... all of those things and right now it felt like he was holding just that person.
"Hey. You ruined nothing. It'll be fun to show you my house anyways." If he was inconvenienced, she would know. He was pretty clear when he was annoyed. Eye rolls, bitter facial expressions, the whole deal. He did nothing to hide it and even played it up. But he wasn't annoyed here. Instead he replaced his arm around her as he looked to the waiter with the boxes. He smiled a bit as he heard Tinsley speaking kindly to the man. Fara would have hardly even acknowledged the presence, something that tended to annoy Jaymis. Jaymis was maybe unusual, but he had what he believed. Slowly and with Tinsley the young man stood up, holding his arm out to link with hers so that he could walk with her and lead her.
"Just stick with me, and you will get to the right place." Jaymis assured her, picking up the food box and moving out of the restaurant with her. He would take the short way today, when she was feeling better he would show her the rest of the city. words// 708 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

Tinsley laughed lightly and shook her head a bit. "Oh no. It has occurred to me that you are doing it on purpose. Actually there isn't a single doubt in my mind that you are selling it on purpose." she said quietly. He seemed to actually be trying quite hard to make everything sound amazing to get her to stick around or to at least come back and see him again. Not that he needed to anymore since he had already won her over. So when he once again assured her that he meant it when he asked her to come to stay with him she gave a simple nod. "Okay...seriously though. If I annoy you don't be afraid to get rid of me...well...kick me out. Please don't get rid of me rid of me..." she said quickly, shaking her head slightly. Would he ever do something like that? It was one of those things you just never knew.
She smiled a bit though. "Pretty much my normal." she said quietly. At least lately this was her normal. She wasn't going to turn into some psycho at least. Her cheeks remained the light shade of pink as she gave a bit of a nod at his question, listening to him carefully, but not quite expecting him to stop in the middle of what he was saying to lean in and kiss her. She was shocked at first, her cheeks turning more of a red than pink, but she didn't pull away and found herself gently and lovingly kissing him back. She reached up and tangled her fingers in his hair as she placed her hand on the back of his head. She didn't pull away until he did and even then she remained close as well with such a dreamy, happy, loving smile on her face, gently running her fingers through his hair a moment longer before she withdrew her hand back to her side.
"That...what was that for?" Tinsley asked softly, but she knew the answer. He seemed to be as into her as she was him and it didn't seem like he was going to keep away despite the fact that he was technically a taken man. It meant that he was feeling whatever it was she was feeling. The connection she felt to him. The butterflies he gave her. "It was nice..." she said softly. It was more than nice, but she wasn't quite sure how to explain that. How to describe something that had felt so amazing.
She took a breath and gave a bit of a relieved sigh. "Okay. Well I would love a tour of your house if you think it is something I would enjoy seeing." she said, smiling a bit at that. He had been right about her liking this place. It seemed he knew just what she would and wouldn't enjoy. So she would trust him and she would trust that he really didn't think that she had ruined everything. He didn't seem like the type to just stand for that honestly. He was willing to cheat on Fara to get what he actually wanted. He surely would have told her if she was doing anything to bother him. She was no Fara.
"Oh trust me. I don't plan to leave your side." Tinsley said with a bit of a flirty smile as she linked her arm with his. She walked with him as they moved from the restaurant, feeling a million times better and more confident then when they had first walked in. It was crazy how this day had been going. She was half expecting to wake up at any moment from this perfect dream. "So how far is your home from here?" she asked curiously.

He figured she was smart enough to think of that possibility. He'd been doing everything that he could to sell the place. Make sure that this wasn't the last he would see of her. Just without straight out asking her on a date. He wouldn't avoid her, but he wasn't quite ready to say "hey be my girlfriend even though I have Fara" just yet. Not that he really had Fara. It was more like Fara had him in her grasp. For her he was just a pretty boy with a title to claim. But if word got out that someone had the nerve to cheat on Fara Snow, even someone like him... well it wasn't like she hadn't cheated so he wasn't sure why he was at all worried. Although it was more fun to sell the place than just ask. "I promise, I will tell you if you get annoying. Or anything of the sort. I promised, and I keep my promises." Jaymis assured her, watching carefully. Get rid of her? He chuckled at that idea. "I only kill people who are assholes. I think you're safe." He gave a bit of a wink. He wasn't fearful of implying that he had caused death before. Just didn't want her thinking it would happen to her.
He might have instantly regretted the kiss, had she not returned the motion. The feeling of it. He rested his arms around her neck for the moment, looking lovingly into her eyes as they both pulled away. Not far, but enough to look at her and actually think about what had just happened. Her question lingered in his mind for a moment as he looked over her pink face and tried to think of what to say. She seemed so happy, she couldn't be upset in asking that question. "That was... that was... a thing. I don't know. It was just... right I guess?" There was a moment where his confidence fell. But not horribly so, but he simply didn't have some cocky comment to make on it. There wasn't one to be made. "It just felt right to do..." He whispered. It was nice? He was hopeful that it was more than nice and that she was just low on words to use to explain how she had felt. He wasn't sure how to explain, which it was rare to find him so near speechless. But here he was.
It was only getting up to leave that got Jaymis out of that speechlessness. That got him from searching for descriptions. He looked to her before getting up though. "That, Tinsley, was the greatest feeling I've ever had in my life." He finally answered before he did get up. He had taken far too long to come up with that comment, still honestly shocked that he had done it in the first place. "I'll give you tours all over the place if you will let me give you a few more of those along the way." Jaymis offered and looked to her, his wide grin starting to return at that. He didn't stay too serious too long. "Including my house." He promised quickly after. He definitely would be letting her know if she did anything.
"I trust you won't, it wouldn't be fun if you just left me alone." Jaymis commented, let alone if he had to search the whole dang Capitol to find her. He'd rather she stuck with him. That and as they linked arms he felt like a child again. In the best ways that could happen. He felt like he could skip down the street had she not been feeling sick. "Not too far. Only a couple of blocks. It's huge, so you wouldn't miss it." He commented confidently. It was a big mansion of sorts, far too large for Jaymis. words: 643 tags: Tinsley Berylnotes: I'll kind of try to describe his house in the next one.

Tinsley nodded a bit. "Okay. I trust you and I can promise you that I at least don't believe that I am annoying." she said quietly. No one had ever told her otherwise anyway. She then grinned a bit. "You and me both. So I guess we are both safe." she decided to play along with it as well, letting him onto her little secret as well, but she wasn't willing to discuss it any further. Not right now anyway. That was a conversation for another day.
She listened to him stuttering as he tried to come up with an answer to his question, such a sweet smile on her face as she did. It was cute. It was amusing. He didn't seem like the type of guy to ever not have something to say, but here he was struggling and it had been his feelings for her that made that happen. She was perfectly content with the answer that he finally did give though because it was how she felt as well. "You are right. You are. Nothing I have ever done in my life has ever felt as right as that just did." she said quite honestly. It seemed like everything she did. Every choice she made held so much uncertainty, but that...there was no uncertainty in that kiss. It was the best thing to ever happen to her.
It seemed that Jaymis felt the same way and she couldn't be more happy about that. "It was the greatest feeling I have ever felt in my life as well. That must mean something pretty amazing, don't you think?" she asked, her voice so soft and gentle as if she was still in a wonderful mood from it. She grinned. "You can give me as many kisses as you want whenever you want." she assured him with a bit of a shrug. "But yes, someday I would love an amazing Jaymis guided tour of the city. Surely you know where all the best, most interesting places are. Everyone else just shows me the boring stuff I couldn't care less about." she said, rolling her eyes slightly as she thought about some of the places that the others had given her tours of.
"It wouldn't be fun if I had to wander around all alone either." Tinsley said quietly, leaning on him ever so slightly as she reached her other arm up to wrap around his as well. She didn't want to let him go, almost afraid that she would somehow get separated from him and never be able to find him again. That seemed to be her luck. "Okay. That isn't too bad then." she added. She didn't mind walking. Being out in the fresh air was nice as well and she didn't feel too terribly sick yet at least. She was actually beginning to feel hungry again. "We should dig into some of this food once we get done with the house tour." she commented after a moment.

She trusted him, that made Jaymis almost giddy with excitement. It wasn't often that someone said they actually trusted him. He looked and grinned to her agreement. She only killed assholes too? He chuckled, but marked it as something to think about later. The fact that she may have just possibly agreed to have killed even assholes... it was an amusing thought. He didn't want to ask now though, he would come up with an interesting way to bring it up later. Just not right now. He was just happy that he was safe and there really was something interesting to her. Something more than already had been interesting.
"Nothing compares. Really nothing does." Jaymis whispered. Once he knew how he felt or what he wanted to say about how he felt it was much easier to say more. But it wasn't the same, it wasn't cocky and ego filled, it was just... sincere. He didn't think it needed the showy personality. Just him and feelings. He leaned his head against her momentarily, smiling softly. "We never had that you know.... even from the beginning... I never felt like that with her. I... I think it means a lot." He looked up and smiled a bit. He had no problem even admitting that. And with anyone else he would have had a hard time even getting the words from his mouth. "It means something amazing... and I promise I will try not to give too much of a good thing for you. But the tour will have kisses, and I can't promise any warning." He snickered, kissing her cheek just lightly.
He was happy she wanted to stick close. That he felt her arm around him. The young man grinned at her as he moved out of the restaurant with her. "I know the best places dear, I promise. Including my own home." He promised her and looked down the street. It was a wide street, and there were a ton of people around, but luckily for him nobody seemed to notice them. He was important, but not TV famous just yet. Not beyond hanging with Fara, and seeing him with someone else must have convinced everyone that he wasn't actually Jaymis. "Well, don't let go of my arm and you won't get lost. I promise you that, I never get lost." There was the cockiness returning, a big grin on his face once more.
He led her straight to the house, wanting to show her his home but also get to eat. He was hungry and though he was willing to leave the restaurant he wasn't willing to entirely forfeit his lunch just yet. He rubbed his fingers along her hand and walked around the block. At the end of the next street sat a large mansion. There was a line of fencing around the place, a large intricate gate in front of it that led to a courtyard with a large fountain. Jaymis put in his code for the gate, looking to Tinsley with a grin and motioning inside. "Welcome to my palace." He grinned brightly and made sure to close it behind him. He didn't need anyone breaking in, though mostly it was because his father had been a paranoid freak.
"We can tour first or we can eat first. Up to you hun." Jaymis commented and looked to her as he led her toward the front doors. He wanted to show her everything, but he wanted to eat. "We can even have our lunch out here in the garden if you'd like. A little picnic." He offered. That actually sounded amazing to him. words: 608 tags: Tinsley Berylnotes:

Tinsley smiled brightly, quite glad to hear that he had never felt such a special connection to Fara the entire time that he was with her. It simply meant that she really had a chance. That he wouldn't turn around and pick her over him. It meant they only had to worry about getting her to decide that he wasn't worth it anymore. Until then though...what would be so wrong about a little secret between the two of them? "Don't worry. Right now I could use all the love and kisses that you can give." she said softly. It was true. After everything else nothing would feel better then hugs and kisses and sweet little compliments. Even just walking arm and arm with him the way they were felt wonderful and was much needed.
"I have no doubts that you know all the best places and I can't wait to go and see them all with you. You know, because being with you I bet makes any place a million times better than it already is. My guess is a fancy dinner or party would even be a bit less dull if I had you to keep me company." She said with a bit of a grin. Not that she wanted him to take her to any place like that, but if she had to go she would want to go with him. "And I can't wait to see your home." she added, rolling her eyes slightly at his comment. "Oh yeah? Never get lost, eh?" she gave a teasingly questioning look. "So if I plopped you down in the middle of a forest you think you could find your way back no problem?" she asked with a grin.
Tinsley was in awe of the place the moment it came into view, almost unsure that it was really where they were headed until they were at the gate and Jaymis was punching in the code. She had no words for it at first, until he called it a palace. It most certainly was a palace. One that almost looked like it was close to outdoing Snow's place, but she guessed that if she seen Snow's a bit closer she would find it to be a bit bigger at least. "This is....not what I was picturing you to have for a home..." she commented, shaking her head slightly. "But...this really is a palace. It's beautiful. It's...huge!" she said, eyes wide still as she moved inside the gate with him.
She then looked over as his next words caught her attention, thinking about it. "Well...we can eat first if you don't mind me taking a nap before we do the tour." she said with a bit of a grin. His idea of a picnic in the garden sounded wonderful and the house would still be there once they finished. "I say we go have our little picnic if you don't mind that." she added, but really didn't think he would mind.

Jaymis loved to hear that. He couldn't think of much better than hearing that. When the kiss had felt like a small bit of heaven for him. He smiled some to her and gave a pleasant nod at that invitation. He sure hoped that she wouldn't get tired of it. Or that she would stay just as interested the longer they spent together. He walked linked arms with her, a smile on his face as he listened to her speak. He gave it a bit to think about it but he couldn't help the large smile on his face at the idea of fancy parties. She had no idea just how crazy he could be even in such a stiff environment.
"Oh you want to come to at least one of those fancy parties." Jaymis smirked widely and watched her. He wouldn't say why, but he wanted her to come see for herself just what he could do even in a party. He had a lot that he could show her about the Capitol. A lot of secrets and things that could be done behind backs and without getting caught. He had a lot, and she was only seeing the surface here. He had to keep some secrets after all.
The forest? That was something he hadn't thought of. "Well, I don't know about a forest. If I had my phone I totally could get out." He smirked, avoiding actually admitting that he might not be able to find his way through an actual forest. Luckily she found amazement in the house and he would use that to avoid finishing that conversation. He looked to the house, grinning proudly as he released her, crossing his arms to look over the colorful flower filled gardens. "Yep. This is mine. I didn't build it but... it's mine for sure." He nodded slightly. It had been his father's, but he had adjusted it for his own taste rather than the old man's. "On party nights, I light up the front of the house with awesome blue lights." He made a motion to the whole front of the house, a grin on his face at that. "I have a lot of fun stuff I can't wait to show you. It feels even bigger once you get inside." He smiled brightly. But she took his picnic idea, and that was far more important right now.
He looked and took her hand, leading her to a soft green and grassy part of the yard. "I would love to eat first. Just sit, relax, and I'll go get us something to put our food on. And maybe a surprise." He gave her a wink and motioned to the ground before he ran off to the house. words: 459 tags: Tinsley Berylnotes:
