Tinsley nodded a bit, feeling slightly disappointed, but not terribly so. Him agreeing that it was all in the moment didn't sound all that convincing, just as her stating that she understood it was all because of the song and the mood wasn't convincing as well. His words were promising though. He said that ALL of it was fun and he even asked to do it again later. If she picked her choices right, she could make it happen again. "I'd love to do another song with you after we eat. That was really quite fun." she agreed. She smiled brightly. "Ooh, pizza and finger foods? That sounds so delicious. If you want pizza we can get pizza for sure because that sounds delicious." she said. "I want to see what else is on the menu." she added. She was curious what else there was and she was feeling quite hungry. She was eating for two (three) after all and she hadn't eaten yet today and well...everything from yesterday she got rid of this morning as well. "Oooh, mozzarella sticks. Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer? Yeah?" Tinsley asked excitedly, looking at Jaymis with hopeful, almost begging eyes. "All of this sounds so amazing..." she said, looking over more of it. She could have asked for more. They could have had quite the variety, but she was too afraid to ask. Words// 235 Tag// Jaymis Peralti

Jason gave her a bit of a smile with the most subtle of possible winks. He would do it again later too, if they choose right. If he could explain it away to onlookers. He knew Fara cheated, but she was Fara. If he got caught it would be a completely different story. His life would be hell, where if she broke up with him Snow wouldn't be angry with him and though there would be resentment between himself and Fara she wouldn't be out to destroy his life quite so much. Then there would be a chance with this girl. The pretty one whose sweetness made up for all the lack of fame. He tried the famous type, he was miserable. He learned the hard way that being attached to someone with a title was not all it was made out to be. He got his own fame without even needing her. The government job, the company, it all earned him the recognition he always wanted on his own merit. That was far better than being "Fara Snow's guy".
"Good. I have a couple of song ideas if you're willing to take a suggestion from me." Jaymis offered, but he wouldn't force her to either. He just looked to the menu to see if they added anything new, curious what there was. He always made sure there wasn't something new to try. He looked up, an interested look on his face. "We could do pizza. What else would you want on it? There's tons of toppings and all." He commented, watching her closely as he did. But he nodded to let her have a bit more time to look.
He decided what he might like if she didn't really want pizza, looking up to listen to what she was saying. He looked curiously with a raised brow. "I like mozzarella sticks too. Though their fries are amazing. And the milkshakes are just wonderful. And they've got this really yummy cheesy bread too, you should try it." She hadn't been here, he'd let her try anything she wanted. Though the begging and hungry look to her partly concerned him. words// 360 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes// Go ahead, spend his money for him. Tinsley nodded, giving him a very soft smile. "Of course you can pick the next song. I picked the last. It is only fair." she said, shrugging a bit. Of course...this way it allowed her to see if he was actually interested or if everything really had been in the moment of the song. If he picked a song that let them set up for another kiss...then he obviously wanted to do it again, he obviously was into her, and...she wasn't getting her hopes up for nothing. Sure he still belonged to Fara, but they already had plans to plan to get her out of the picture. Then the sweet, kind, fun, handsome Jaymis was all hers...if he'd still have her after he found out all of her secrets. "Umm...I am good with just cheese and pepperoni." Tinsley told him, looking up. "Simple, but delicious. I don't mind if you want to get half of that and half of whatever toppings you wish if you want more or less." she assured him, listening to all the things he was recommending. "Oooh! Jaymis! Can we please get a bit of all of that? It all sounds so amazing!" she said excitedly. "Please?" she added to be kind, but the begging look remained a bit. She had never felt so hungry. "I'd love to try it all." she added. Words// 237 Tag// Jaymis Peralti

"Trust me, you won't regret letting me pick." Jaymis said quietly. He could see that she had liked the kiss. He was smart enough to recognize that. He would take the chance if he got it. If she didn't push him away, then he knew he was alright. Of course there was still Fara, but they had plans. Then he didn't really know everything about her. The things he knew weren't even all entirely true. He thought Fara was the only thing between their possibility of dating. But there was more... she was a district girl and he didn't even think that was a possibility.
She seemed far more excited about food than he had ever seen anyone here though. He loved food. Loved eating. But not quite that much. He couldn't help laughing and sitting back to watch her closely. "Okay. We can have a little bit of all of it." He commented with a bit of a further grin toward the pleading look she gave. He leaned forward and set the menu down, a smile across his face. "Anything else you want to try? I'm fine with pepperoni and cheese. And all of the other things I listed too. You really didn't eat anything this morning?" He was really trying not to laugh at her. He got really hungry sometimes and just wanted to eat. "And don't worry about it, I got the bill. Try whatever you want to. It's my treat." He promised her. words: 248 tags: Tinsley Berylnotes:

"I do trust you. I only just met you, so maybe I shouldn't, but I do." Tinsley said quietly, giving a nod. She trusted him in more things than to just letting him pick a song that would be just as special as the last. He clearly trusted her as well and...it almost made her feel guilty that he did when she wasn't being entirely honest with him. She couldn't tell him now though. She was hoping that the more fun they had together, the less it would matter that she was a pregnant district one girl with a bit of a darker past. A past that she could and would put behind her for him and the baby was not part of the past. He or she was a very good part of Tinsley's future and if Jaymis didn't think so, then he wasn't the right one anyway. She smiled and thought for a moment before she shook her head. "Nope. Nothing else I would like to try. I am good with what we have already listed. Just...not quite sure what kind of milkshake I want just yet. I think I might get some of this pink lemonade to drink with dinner and get the shake for dessert." she told him. She then shook her head. "No, I didn't eat this morning. I..." she took a breath as she tried to think of an excuse. "I was just too excited about sneaking into the tribute center that I just...forgot." she lied. He didn't need to know how sick she had been. It would only raise questions. Words// 275 Tag// Jaymis Peralti

She trusted him... most didn't. He gave off that look of troublesome business guy. A liar and deceiver like his father and Fara. But Tinsley trusted him and the young man was very determined to make sure he didn't make her regret it. He couldn't possibly know that he was the one being lied to. Not really, he just thought she was a nervous person. "You can trust me. No regrets. Promise." The man said with a pleasant smile toward her.
Nothing else? Jaymis was prepared to order one of everything just so she could try it. They'd do it for him too, they'd have to really. But she didn't ask for that and Jaymis wasn't going to suggest it either. "It's a pretty long list anyways. Not sure any more would fit on this table. They might have to bring a second one over." He commented with an amused grin at that. He sat back, thinking a bit at that idea. "I don't see where that could be wrong. Except I know this amazing ice cream place if you really want dessert. But the lemonade is amazing and I'd suggest actually their strawberry milkshake. They use real berries for it." Jaymis commented and looked to her with a bright smile. A bit forgetful was she? Oh well, he was making sure that she would make up for her missed meal here.
"Forgetting isn't good for you. But I'm not going to let you stay hungry. That would be rude of me." The young man shrugged to her. He'd order what she asked for without a single complaint, and he did, calling the young man who served the tables over and giving him their list of things to try. words: tags: Tinsley Berylnotes:

Tinsley nodded a bit at his promise, even if it just made her feel more guilty than she already did. For all she knew though he could be hiding more about himself as well. There was no way such a sweet and perfect guy got roped in with someone like Fara without having another piece to him. It just didn't work that way. He had his reasons for being with her, but what interest did she really have in him besides just his job? She was going to trust him though and she was going to let him trust her. There was no reason for him not to right now and no reason for her not to.
She laughed lightly at his comment about all the food. "They are going to think it is mostly for you anyway." she commented. She was a tiny girl apart from the little bump that was beginning to show, but even that was hidden away nicely under the dress she was wearing. She didn't look like she would be able to eat that much. Jaymis wasn't huge, but he was a young guy and young guys seemed to be able to eat a lot without packing on the pounds that girls had to worry about. "And...I will think about dessert." she said, shrugging a bit. "I will pick one or the other. I mean...don't want to show me everything at once, do you?" she asked. What reason would she have to go out with him again if she already experienced everything in one day?
"And I know it isn't good. I don't usually forget like that." Tinsley said quietly, which was very much true. The smallest thought of food this morning had made her stomach churn though. She had forgotten on purpose. She was quiet when the waiter was called over though, trying to not actually make eye contact with the man as Jaymis listed off everything.

Jaymis smirked widely, shaking his head to her at that. He never ate that much when he came. But then he was sure nobody really even remembered what he ate. It wouldn't matter to anyone else. "At least it isn't just ordered for one person. We just... haven't eaten today." Jaymis shrugged a bit to her and looked back down toward the table as he thought a bit. He really wasn't the type to make connections like her small size and how much food it would be. Why would he? As far as he knew she simply wanted to try everything and anything they could offer. "Any of the stuff we ordered is good, and you're right, I could eat most of it myself. I have a hard time not eating food that is in front of me." He laughed. He ate just about anything he was given.
"Pick one? Well... I guess I don't need to show you everything at once. But... does that mean we will get this again?" Jaymis asked, a curious and almost hopeful look to his face. He would love to do it again. Spend more time with her. Show her more of his favorite places. Though the fact that she hadn't even heard of any of these places. Her family must have been the really stuffy types if they had never visited this stuff. "Promise me that you will come back for a dessert or even just another night of singing. Okay? Real promise?" He held a hand across the table for her to shake on it even. He may have been claimed by Fara, but he wasn't going to miss a chance with Tinsley. He could find ways to make Fara leave if this much nicer girl would really stick around.
"Guess I will just have to keep you from forgetting from now on eh? You'll have to give me your number, I'll remind you of lunch. Maybe even invite you to mine." Jaymis gave a winking smile after he finished ordering their food. "Or maybe just to talk you know... I'm sure we both get busy." words// 354 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

Tinsley smiled at him with a bit of an amused look. "You are right. Besides, it's not like we have to eat everything that we are given right now. I can sample a little of each and then we can save the rest for later if we wanted." she said, shrugging a bit. Did people in the Capitol keep leftovers? She would assume that at least some would simply because it would be easy to take the food home and heat it up later instead of having to worry about cooking, but how many of the people here had avoxes to do all their cooking? "I am sure you could. Some guys get all the luck and can eat whatever they want all the time without having to worry about gaining a pound." she commented. "But, you have to make sure you share with me of course. Can't just eat it all."
That hopeful look on his face was so cute and made her feel wonderful. So he really did want to see her again and see her again he would. She giggled a bit and nodded. "Yes of course that means I will come back again and of course I will be coming back with you." she said, shaking her head a bit when he held his hand out. "No, no, that isn't a real promise. This is." she said, linking pinky fingers with him instead of shaking his hand. "I pinky promise that we will come back here and do all sorts of fun stuff again. I am really enjoying myself for the first time in quite a while." she admitted, giving a sweet, bright smile toward him.
She laughed more and rolled her eyes. "Very clever." she said, shaking her head a bit in amusement. "Let me have your phone and I will put my number in." she told him, holding her hand out for it. "I would love a reminder and invites to lunch and of course I would love to just be able to have someone to talk to." How had she gotten so lucky?

Jaymis looked up carefully, the most curious look to his face. Keep leftovers? Now that was something Fara would never do. It had to be fresh made or else it wasn't good enough for her. Keeping leftovers was for the poor who couldn't afford a real meal every day. Jaymis shrugged after a moment though. "That is a possibility. Or like I said, I could just eat stuff." He chuckled. He at least wasn't upset to think about taking food home. He just knew himself. He gave a slight wink. "Of course you get some. Being here would be quite pointless if you didn't." He commented with a smirk to ber. Why bring her here if he wasn't letting her try the food.
The young man gave a confused look when she didn't shake his hand at firsr, even shaking her head. He glanced down, worried if he had something on him. But instead she linked pinkies with him and promised she would be coming back. He looked up, a joyful sparkle to his blue eyes. "I've... never done the whole pinky promise thing. Father always said shake hands and it's a solid deal. Whatever that means." He mockingly rolled his eyes at the thought. His father wasn't here today and if he wanted to link pinkies with a beautiful girl to make a promise, he would. "And I pinky promise that I will invite you out again. This is really great." He agreed.
Jaymis pleasantly pulled out his phone and found the screen for her to add her number. He was actually quite proud of it, he had the newest version which hadn't even been released yet otherwise. He smiled to her as he held it out to her. "What's so clever? I just want my new friend's phone number so I can talk to her some more." He shrugged innocently. He didn't collect girls' numbers actually. Just the people he enjoyed spending time with. words: tags: Tinsley Berylnotes:

Tinsley watched him, noticing the curious look rather quickly. She looked down, blushing a bit as she realized that it must have been weird to even him. "I just don't think that yummy food should go to waste is all. Plus, I like to be lazy and just pop something in the microwave to heat it up and eat quickly." she said with a bit of a shrug. Not everyone here had an avox at least. So she could make it seem like she was simply on her own and just didn't always feel much like cooking. Even he had to understand. "I can't just eat it all up like you apparently can." she said, giggling a bit. Though this time she had a feeling there wouldn't be much in the way of leftovers between the two of them. "And I was just making sure." she added, playfully sticking her tongue out at him.
Then there was that sparkle in his eyes that made her smile brightly. He was so adorably expressive and she loved every second of it. "Well your father must not like to make real promises then so he just made that up. Everyone knows that a pinky promise is the strongest seal there is for a deal." she said with an almost childish smirk. She shook pinkies with him before pulling away, nodding at his promises. "This really is great. Most fun I have had in quite a while. Thank you." she said in a very soft and genuine way.
She looked to his phone curiously. "Wow, you've really got a nice one." she commented, looking up at him with a smile so he knew to take it as a compliment and nothing more. She took it from him and began to put her name, first name only, into it as well as her number. She giggled a bit. "If you say so. Most guys just straight up ask for a girl's number, but I am guessing that you aren't like most guys. Not by a long shot." she said, handing it back over to him before taking a sip of her drink.

Jaymis smirked to that and shrugged. He wasn't much bothered by her wanting leftovers, just confused. "I guess that would be easiest. And I know. I'm not normal. That's what makes me amazing." Jaymis grinned and looked up to her. He liked to think that he was a unique one of a kind type anyways. He wanted to be special to someone. He just hadn't found someone who saw him as that special of a thing just yet. He stuck his tongue out right back at her. He could play that game too.
The mention of his father dropped his smile momentarily. Not long, not too much, but somewhat visibly. He looked up and nodded, linking his pinky with hers and lingering for a second. "Well, father never kept his word. He's not around anymore, so I think I can make promises however I want." His grin returned at that though. He wasn't sad about the 'loss' of his father. In fact he was happy about it. But the young man was worried about what she might think if he told her that the man was dead. And that it was his doing that got him killed. He grinned though still and let go of her hand, nodding some to her. "So it's a deal. And this is even more amazing for me. Trust me, it's mutual." He said, getting back to his sparkle eyed smiling self.
Of course he had a nice phone. It would be shameful if he didn't. "Well yeah. This is the newest version. Not yet released to the public. There are perks of being the minister of technology you know." He gave a bit of a wink but willingly let her take if from him. He wanted her number. There was no way he was going to have this great of a day and not find a way to contact her later. It would be purely idiotic of him to do so. "I'm nothing like most guys. At all. Trust me on that part. But I suppose most would just ask for your number. Not very sensitive is it?" He shrugged slightly and reached, taking the phone back from her. He looked curiously to what she had written, interested when she only used her first name but not questioning it. No, it was the number.
"You sure this is the right number?" He asked with a curious look. Jaymis was a technology guy, and one of the first things he did was memorize the district codes for contact numbers. And that one definitely wasn't the Capitol. words// 432 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

Tinsley smiled back at him, giving a bit of a nod in agreement. "You're right. You aren't normal and it definitely is what makes you amazing. You are fun and sweet and unique and not at all what I was expecting when you told me who you were." she commented with a shrug. She had gotten incredibly lucky with that as well. He was far more amazing than she had anticipated. The only problem was that it made her want him as her own. Both their circumstances made that a bit difficult though, but at least not impossible.
She gave a bit of a curious look when his smile fell away though for a split second. Must be Jaymis and his father didn't really get along. That seemed to be the case anyway and she wasn't going to bug him about it at all. It would be rude. "See? I was right. He never did pinky promises because he never actually kept his word." she said, trying to turn the mood silly and lighthearted once again. "But I know you will because you did." she continued with an even brighter smile. The idea of seeing him again felt even better now that they had made it pinky promise official. That was a big deal. At least for Tins.
"I guess so. Mr. Big Shot with your fancy phone and your fancy title." Tinsley teased with a wide smirk on her face. It was all in good fun. Of course Jaymis would have the best and the newest stuff with his job position. Back home Tinsley would have cared that she didn't have the newest herself to compare to her peers there, but here she didn't care at all. There were far too many other things, better things, to focus on. "It's really nice." she added. "Just like you." She gave a cheesy grin before shrugging. "Definitely not like all the other insensitive guys out there." she assured him.
Tinsley nodded at his question, though gave a slightly confused look. "Yeah, it is definitely the right number." she promised him. "What? Do you think I gave you a fake number? I pinky promised. I couldn't have done such a thing." she added, giggling a bit. She liked Jaymis far too much to pull that old trick as well. She smiled at him and then looked up as a waiter brought over a tray of food for them, another bringing over the pizza and some plates. "Ooh, it all smells and looks so yummy." she said as they began to set it out on the table. "Thanks." she said cheerfully before they left once they had finished.

Jaymis gave her an amused grin. He was glad someone realized he was something interesting. He wasn't normal. "You know how few actually notice that kind of thing?" He laughed with a slight bit of a shrug at her. "Very few." He answered himself with a grin. His father always called him a waste of time and no better than the rest. His teachers said he was smart but just another cocky ass they'd seen a million times. With Fara he was just another rich boyfriend for the pictures. It was good that someone else saw him as more. Even if it was just off of one day.
He met his gaze with hers, grinning once more despite the conversation remaining on his father. "He never kept his word and he died for it. So I suppose the punishment for breaking a pinky promise is even worse." Jaymis commented with an almost dark look behind the smile as he commented about his father. But it faded as quickly as it came and he sat back again. He wasn't going to explain that one further either. "I won't be breaking the promise. I couldn't hurt a beautiful girl like you." He commented.
"My fancy title is what can afford all of this lunch you want so hush. And if you really want I could get you a fancy phone too." Jaymis looked to her with a cheesy grin, curious if she'd take the offer. He wasn't attempting to bribe her but he sure could have looked like it. He just wanted to make a bit of a positive offer. It wasn't like he could buy anything for Fara, he just had to hand it to her anyways. There was no reason to purchase for someone who could just have anything she wanted at the snap of her fingers. Tinsley didn't seem like that sort. She sure wasn't on the just hand stuff over for free list. He grinned cheesily to her commented as he waited for her to put her number in. "I won't call or message obsessively like other guys would either." He assured her.
The young man didn't know what to think of the number. He knew very well what all of the numbers meant. At least the ones with meaning anyways. He lifted his gaze from the screen, shaking his head at that. "No. Not that. Just, maybe you made a mistake." He commented, rubbing his hand through his hair for a moment. He didn't know what to say. If it really was hers then the information those first three numbers gave meant a whole lot. Mainly for the legality of this little friendship. And her existence here in this room. He looked to her, quiet and trying to decide how to bring it up. "Awfully far from home, aren't you?" He asked, his voice quiet as he set the phone down. He tried his best not to show any real worry. He was worried about what it could mean, but that didn't change the way he looked at her. Not like he thought it should change things anyways. It was weird. It was honestly confusing.
He looked up to the waiter as he put food down. "Thank you." He said politely with a bit of a nod. He reached to take a piece of the pizza quietly. words// 562 tags// Tinsley Berylnotes//

Tinsley gave a bit of a flirtatious smile at that. "Those people don't know what to actually look for in a person." she commented with a bit of a shrug. "You are interesting and amazing and everyone who can't see that have no idea what they are missing, but that is their problem. Not ours." she added. She loved that he was so different from all the other guys she knew. It was refreshing and it almost made her feel like she was in some sort of dream. What if this was all just a dream? What if she was still back in the district one apartment passed out on the bathroom floor? She pinched some of the skin on her hand discreetly. Yes, it hurt. She wasn't dreaming.
She watched him curiously as he spoke about his father breaking promises and dying for it. There was a look in his eyes. One that you didn't see in too many people, but one that she recognized or at least thought she did. It made her curious, but it was a subject for another time. "Never, ever break a pinky promise." she said, grinning a bit again at that as she took a sip of her drink. She blushed a bit again at his comment though. Just the way he called her beautiful was different and felt amazing. What on Earth was this boy doing to her?
"Don't you go telling me to hush." Tinsley stuck her tongue out at him playfully, crossing her arms over her chest with a bit of a fake pout. He was right though. He was paying for all of this and there was no way she could have paid for any of it. She had oh so smartly left her money back at home. She couldn't go and ask Kyan for any, so she was just stuck. Then he was offering to buy her a phone and she shook her head slightly. "You don't have to do that." she said, not wanting to be a greedy person. She had only just met him. Even if she hadn't she didn't want to seem like one of those girls who were only with a guy for money. "My phone is just fine and you know...I wouldn't mind if you messaged or called me quite a bit on this one." she said with a bit of a smirk. "But yeah...maybe not too obsessively." she added with a small laugh.
She gave a curious look to him. "I am not sure what you mean by making a mistake then. That has been my number for a very long time." she said, reaching to grab herself a slice of pizza. She was about to take a bite of it when he asked a question that made her heart sink. Her stomach twisted in knots and she felt the blood all rush to her cheeks, making them a bright red. She was like a deer in headlights at first, not sure what to do or say. She didn't know how he would react, but...it seemed he already knew. "One isn't that far from here." she whispered, setting the slice down on the plate in front of her without taking a bite out of it. She suddenly wasn't very hungry anymore. "Jaymis...please don't be upset with me." she said quickly, looking back to him with a begging look. It was very obvious that tears were threatening to spill from her eyes at any moment. She was scared. Not about getting in trouble, but that he wouldn't like her anymore.
