Name: Aurelia Atia Velus
Age: 6
Personality:
Aurelia is adorable and she knows it. She knows that she can use it to her advantage in a lot of situations. A hug and a kiss on the cheek along with a precious "I love you" has always gotten her what she has wanted from her father. She knows how to play the cute card with just about anyone. She has always had a very gentle nature about her as well. She doesn't like to play rough and she is very good about being sweet and loving. She isn't exactly wild and crazy.
She is pretty easily influenced though. Big brother Lucius taught her many things about how the world should be. He planted many dreams in her head and she is quite the little dreamer herself. Dreams are easier to deal with than reality. She hates President Snow, simply because Lucius was terrified of him and because Atticus had claimed it was his fault that they had to leave. She also knew that he was responsible for the games that she had never been allowed to watch, but had heard Luc's stories and nightmares about.
Since moving to thirteen she has become much more independent. Her time with her father is even more limited then it felt like it was back home. He was always busy and here she didn't have Cade to step in to help her with things. It was time to start growing up. She didn't fully understand the nature of what was going on around her, but she knew this place was different and things were more serious.
History:
Aurelia was the product of one of her father's many one nightstands. Her mother had been drunk, Atticus had been charming, and they let the party early for some privacy. No strings attached sort of night. A night of freedom and passion and nothing more. Until eight months later when the woman caught up with Atticus and basically told him he could take the child when she was born or she was going to leave her to be someone else's problem. She wasn't ready or willing to care for the child. Atticus wasn't going to let his child go to strangers. No, he had helped Seneca with Luc, he could handle a little one of his own and know that she was being well taken care of.
He always made sure she was too. He was new, even with his bits of experience from helping with Luc. Thankfully he had both Seneca and Cade to help him through it. He had never been so thankful for his best friend and the avox. He wouldn't have been able to do it without them. That being said, Atticus, Seneca, Cade, and Lucius were the only family that Aurelia ever knew. Her mother wanted nothing to do with her, her great grandma had passed away a few years before, and Atticus had lost touch with his parents. Cade was like a grandfather, Seneca was like a second father and Luc, once he got used to he idea of having her around and realized she wasn't stealing Seneca's attention, became very brotherly and protective of her.
Lucius and Aurelia would play for hours when Luc got home from school. They could draw together or paint together. They could build magnificent structures with blocks. There were also times when they would just sit and talk. Lucius was good at coming up with stories. Stories that he believed were very much true about what the world was like or what it could be like. Aurelia could listen to those for hours and as she got older she started to come up with ones of her own.
She was sad when her father told her that they were leaving. Sad and incredibly confused. She was pulled away from her family except for her father to be taken to some strange place. Some place that she didn't want to be. She wanted to be able to go to the park with Lucius and Cade still. She missed the fresh air and the pretty colors of the world and the warm sun on her little face. She missed the animals. She missed the space. She missed having variety in her days.
Down here she felt she had to be more serious, the way her daddy and his "friends" talked. She wasn't sure what was going on, but there was no time for being a child during whatever it was.
